THE WASDALE EXPLORER

The Wasdale Explorer shuttle bus runs Saturdays, Sundays and bank holiday Mondays from the start of May to the end of August. It connects the valley of Wasdale with the village of Gosforth, Muncaster Castle and the seaside village of Ravenglass. Visitors can use the Wasdale Explorer to access Wasdale without a car, to enjoy a stress-free journey through Wasdale and to visit other parts of the beautiful Western Lake District.

HOW TO ACCESS WASDALE ON THE WASDALE EXPLORER

By public transport: The Western Lake District is easily accessed from the North and South by train or bus. To connect with the Wasdale Explorer, take the train to Ravenglass station or the X7 bus to Ravenglass or Gosforth.

By Car: You can connect with the Wasdale Explorer on the A595 at Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass, Greengarth or Gosforth. Alternatively, you can park in Nether Wasdale and use the Wasdale Explorer for a stress-free journey to Wasdale Head.
